STAY SAFE!

The Pinewood Elementary School staff would like to remind parents and students to stay safe while entering and exiting the school through the parking lot. Keep in mind that school busses will be entering and exiting the parking lot to pick up and drop off students. If you see a school bus that has flashing red lights do not pass the bus. Children may be crossing as they load or unload the school bus. We want all of our students to stay safe and healthy each and every day and in order to do this it is wise to escort young children through the parking lot to the front doors of the school.

CALLING IN

If your student will be absent from school due to illness, injury, or another reason please notify the nurses office by calling or emailing. In order to make sure all of our students are safe and accounted for we require notification to ensure the child's whereabouts. If we do not hear from you by 9am, we will attempt to contact you at home or at work in order to confirm the location of your child.

HEALTH REMINDERS

Physical forms are required for all students entering kindergarten, second grade, and fourth grade. Please make sure that all physical forms are received by the nurse as quickly as possible. Current immunization records should also be provided to the nurse.

Please also keep in mind that should your child have allergies or require medications during school hours the nurses office should have a written record / note signed by your child's primary physician. Any medications that will be taken during school hours must be in their original bottles and must be administered by the school nurse.
